Today I spent several hours working on the flanges for the lightening holes on the two side brace pieces. This was considerably more difficult than the center piece, due to the flexibility of the parts. With the slots cut in the holes, these side pieces are more flexible and harder to work with and keep flat as I work on putting in the flanges. Maybe I don't need to worry about keeping them flat, since they'll be bent into a curve anyway, but it just seemed like the right thing to do, keeping them flat until they have to be bent into a curve when I install them.

So after a lot of time and careful effort, here's the results of my work today. They are done, and I'm ready to begin installing them in the canopy frame.
