Finishing up the Flaps! - 4.5 hrs.

Well, over the last few days I poured it on to get these flaps finished. Whenever you do two of something, it always seems to go faster and better the second time.

Here's my right flap in the v-blocks, most of the way through riveting. The ribs have all been riveted to the skins, the spar put back in place, and I'm about halfway down the line of rivets that hold the top skin to the spar. A while later, with all the rivets on the bottom surface that hold the skin, spar, and hinge in place, this baby was done. That finished my flaps! It sunk in a while later that all my control surfaces are now finished for this airplane. The structural part of the wings are finished as well.

At this point, it was tempting to think I'm very close to being finished with my wings, but there's still a lot of work to do and details to wrap up. And to think that I thought I was going to have my wings finished by the end of last year. Ha! I'll see if I can finish the wings by the end of this month.
