Riveting the Baggage Floors - 3.5 Hrs.

Today I riveted the baggage floors in place. This included installing a bunch of nutplates, too, along the center tunnel opening. While this was all pop-riveted, other than the nutplates, it's not as easy as it looks. Besides having to lean over the side and reach down in there, the pop rivets didn't slip in too easily. I used my awl pushed into a nearby hole to line things up so that I could get a rivet in place. But once they were all in, it all fits and it's really solid. I'm pleased with how good it looks, too.

The forward sidewall piece, F-749, is just sitting there. I slipped it in place to make sure it fits and to see how it looks. It's designed to be bolted on with screws so it can be removed to service and inspect the flap pushrods that will go in there. Below is the left side, same thing.

Finally, I clecoed the top forward skin back on. It needs to be on for the next project, which is to fit and install the baggage bulkheads
