Trimming and Lightening the Rudder Brace - 2.0 hrs.

Today I worked on fiinishing the rudder brace. Yesterday, I marked it for trimming off the excess material. So today I cut the extra material off with my band saw. After deburring and smoothing it up, I marked it for some lightening holes.

Then I got out my dangerous fly-cutting tool and cut out a couple of lightening holes. I cut out a large 2-1/4" hole, and a smaller 1-1/2" hole.

After deburring and smoothing the holes, this part is finished (except primer and paint, of course). I'm real pleased with how this turned out.
