Today I started on the rudder pedals and brake pedals. I'm excited about this. It adds a significant new dimension to the airplane, and it's nice to be working on something besides skins, ribs, angles and gussets. This is fun.

I'm trying to get in a better habit of studying the plans and drawings in more detail, so I took my time and really studied the drawing here. Then I laid out the parts and figured out how it all goes together. The holes in the white plastic blocks aren't drilled at a 90-degree angle. There's a slight tilt to them, so you have to be careful to figure out which way they are oriented. I checked them by measuring the depth of the holes on each side and measuring which side of the hole is deeper. Then I marked them for reference and pushed the ends of the rudder pedals into them to check for fit. I also spent quite a bit of time carefully deburring the edges of the brake pedals and the other parts seen here. I also spent time online, studying how others have done this. It doesn't look like I got a lot done, but I now have a clear path in front of me and I feel confident in how to proceed.
