Time to Rearrange the shop

Today I spent some necessary time cleaning up and rearranging my shop. My shop is a two-car garage, so it's wide enough, but it's not very deep. So I'm going to have to do some major rearranging. My plan is to situate the fuselage diagonally from corner to corner. When the firewall goes on, and later on the firewall forward and engine, etc. this is going to stretch my space to the limits.

I ended up unsealing my garage door (I had it sealed up so I could heat the shop during the winter) and opening the door. First time this door has been opened in months! Then I started dragging stuff outside. I think my wings were glad to see the light of day. I have a piano I have to find a home for, and some other stuff to get rid of or move out of here. (Know anybody that needs a good sturdy playable piano? Call me!)

To the left of the aft fuse is some space created along the wall by pulling my EAA workbench out of there. My idea is to move the wings against that wall which will open up a lot of space in the rest of the shop. You can barely see the corner of my workbench in the lower right corner of the picture. I will also have to relocate my big red toolbox and some other smaller things.

Well... whaddyaknow... the wings fit quite nicely in this space! I can live with this. And it's easy enough to move things again if I find a better way.
