Today I drilled the other aft canopy deck, the left one, to the left longeron. Then, since I need to make the downward bends and twists in the forward ends of the longerons, I figured out a way to make this vice work one more time.

I took the broken bottom swivel base off the vice. There happens to be a threaded hole in the middle of the bottom that held the swivel base in place. So I drilled a hole through the workbench and bolted the vice directly to the workbench using this threaded hole. Who needs a swivel function, anyway? I can always turn the table sideways if need be. At least until I get this vice replaced. So I set things up for the downward bends on the forward ends of the longerons. Sorry for the blurry picture. I must have been in a hurry.
