The United States of America is the most extraordinary, magnificent revolutionary nation in history. Its success is the result of the strength and spirit of the first citizens and their descendants, the enlightened consciousness of the founding leaders, and the vast, sparsely populated, and richly endowed territories that became the states. The formation and development of this nation is a nearly unbroken record of growth and innovation in every endeavor. This was colonialism, with all of the attributes and defects of colonialism. Since the end of the last century, there is evidence the U.S. is not doing so well. One explanation is the lack of political leadership and direction in the country.
