| Messerschmitt
Bf 109E, JG27, North Africa, April 1941, Leutnant Werner SCHROER (114
Victories) |
I don't
know whether to eat crow or Messerschmitts, but since these models
went on sale, and the company decided to end the line, I've come to
the conclusion that they were definitely worth their originally proffered
price, and maybe then some.
To the point, the engineers designed both the main gear and the drop
tank with magnets, which keep all parts assembled, but make removing
them both quick and easy. The paint and markings are excellent, the
pilot well painted and to scale, the detail of the mold is superb,
and the model even comes with whitewalls!
I only wish there could be more versions in our future. |
