Rachel here,

I got when Rocky and Bandit were only a little over a year old. We (me and my other half) went to Wyoming by plane to get her. We drove home in a mini you haul truck. We stopped at one motel and believe it or not we brought her in. OH what a time that was, Greg (the other half) decided it was a good idea to let her out of the carrier. Well things went bad and ended up playing loud dinosaur movies all night but we got in and out with her. I have seven wonderful years of good times and bad(mostly good) I wish I could put in here.
I miss her so very much.

Now the story of why she is gone. September 30th my granddaughter needed to go in for shots, the night before I let Rachel out with me (daughter and grandchild live here but I usually put her in her room in the day time), we were late getting up and in a hurry to leave. I forgot Rachel was still out when we got back and ran to the kitchen. My daughter was changing the baby on the coffee table and Rachel bit her. The kids(daughter and son-in law) tried to protect Rachel, but they tried to accuse my daughter of stabbing her child so we told the truth later the same day. The officer that came to the house said they would probably treat this case like they would a dog and just quarantine her, but came back 2 days later and took her. This is a long story shortened. BUT please be very careful if you have raccoons. Nothing hurts more then this kind of loss( meaning your baby taken away and killed). I know it hurts to loose any pet but if they get to be with you till their end it is so much better then this!
